Ch. Arcana's Fire Opal (Ch. Lyrix Hall of Flame X Ch. Arcana Suden's MS America) March 17, 2006 - January 15, 2018

Opal came to us in May 2006. She is fast showing her brother and sister who's boss in the show ring defeating them at their first fun matches. At her first shows in October she quickly progressed from just winning her class to getting her first reserve ribbons.
Opal's first set of points was a three point major awarded by Judge Barbara Rupert in December, when Opal was only eight months old.
We hope she continues her winning ways in the up coming year.

This is Opal in Atlanta October of 2008. She patterns out nicely when she has come in season. She takes after her mom in that sometimes she wants to show and sometimes she just goes through the motions.

Wow did Opal ever turn on and show! We got a 4 pt major under judge Avril Lancaster at the Richmond Afghan Hound Club 2009 spring specialty!

Opal did it again! She won a 4 pt major under hound judge Celeste Gonzalez November 15, 2009 to finish her Championship!

We lost Opal to adenocarcinoma. She was mother to 2 champions and grandmother to hopefully 5 champions.
She was the first afghan I major pointed at an Afghan Hound Specialty.
She was a bitch too, and constantly reminded her daughter and granddaughter of that fact. She would have been 12 on March 17th 2018.
