I wasn't planning on keeping a boy but there was just "something" about Blaze, since the day he was born, that just grabbed me. The older he got the more I couldn't let go of him.

Blaze is growing up, and he has proven it by siring a litter!

Blaze, in his first time back in the show ring since he was 6 months old, has done wonderful at the Labor Day circuit in Raleigh. He was undefeated Winners dog all 4 days of the circuit from the Bred By Exhibitor class. He also won Best of Breed on Sunday and Monday! Sunday's win was over 4 specials one of them was Wicked, # 7 ranked Afghan in the country and # 1 Bitch! It raised his points to a 3 point major! Yahoo! In group competition we didn't make the cut, but we had fun, and a small fan club clapped for us.

Blaze picked up two more breed wins and a group first in the Bred By Exhibitor competition in Wilmington.

He also won his Bred By Exhibitor class over stiff competition both days of the Carolina Afghan Hound Specialty shows.

Sunday's Judge, Jane Sheppard, had this to say in her critique.

"The Bred by Exhibitor Dog Class was quite a challenge for me since the overall quality was excellent.
My first in this class( Ziv Hii's Element of Fire) was a stunning brindle with a gorgeous head and eye, wonderful natural muscling and wonderful shoulder assembly. He covered ground very well in addition to a nice gait on the down and back."

Sometime in the near future Blaze will start running for the bunny!

Blaze was awarded Reserve Winners Dog at the Afghan Hound Club of Northen New Jersey Specialty May 2nd under Breeder Judge Nancy Self.

December 7, 2014 Blaze finished his Championship from the Bred By Exhibitor class with his final 3 point major getting Winners Dog and Best of Winners under judge Candice Way.

Blaze is now living the highlife in Tennassee with his new dad Anthony Czerniak, his two sons, and Bella the Cavalier.
